Fairview FCSS hosts a series of Community Day events for the entire community demographic. These in-person community events will promote a connected and engaged community by facilitating new and existing connections between community members of all ages and stages. Promoting connections among community members and families promotes positive mental health and sense of belonging to the community which in turn leads to community pride. Strong and connected communities can activate resilience attributes that are inherent in individuals and communities, and in so doing lead to better psychological adjustment, health, and well-being (Abramson, Grattan, Mayer, Colten, Arosemena, Bedimo-Rung, Lichtveld, 2015).
